Jessa here! Welcome to Pet Behind the Ears! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I'm an English teacher by day, a book reviewer and Etsy seller by night, and a constant pet mama! I'm a proud mommy to Rascal the Labrador Retriever mix, Cathryn the cat, Ríoghán the betta fish, The Fab Five Goldfish Gang (Jack, Oogie Boogie, Tucker, Specs, Kakashi), six mature mystery snails (the adults are Aaron, Daae, Jake, Elwood, Azirophale, Crowley), sixty-six baby mystery snails, and Mischief the white albino axolotl! There is never a dull moment!I am excited to write about each of my animals and to discuss different aspects of their care and behaviors. Please keep in mind that I am NOT a vet and that I am only discussing my own experiences. I will do my best to share the resources that I use when possible. If you ever catch something that you do differently or that you have different resources to share, I hope you do! I want this blog to be a learning and sharing experience for the entire PBTE community.
